Irakliotis, 26, decorated the inside of the subway car with white ribbons.

His bride, Sandler, 25, got on the train with her maid of honor a few stops later.

They were married by an interfaith chaplain as the train went over the Manhattan Bridge.

“Everyone, hi. I have an announcement to make,” the groom said to the other riders. “I am going to be getting married in 20 minutes.” He invited everyone to stay, but asked if they would move to the back of the car, which they willingly did.

An interfaith chaplain performed the ceremony as the train went over the Manhattan Bridge. Riders applauded as the couple were pronounced husband and wife.

The groom told the newspaper that he and Sandler chose their unconventional wedding venue because they spent so much of their courtship on the subway.

Congratulations to the happy couple.

Please no one ever do this again.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
